Bell is committed to keeping the city attractive and clean. Graffiti marks are normally removed within 48 hours after a report is received. Callers need to leave address, location of the graffiti, and a brief description of the marks in order to facilitate its removal. Anonymous calls are welcomed. Street lights are owned and maintained by Southern California Edison Company. To report broken lights, call the City Hall Street Lights Hotline at (323) 923-2636 or call toll-free 1-(800) 611-1911. You may also report a broken light via the internet by visiting https://www.sce.com/forms/ReportStreetLightOutage.aspx. Edison may take between 3 and 30 days to repair broken lights depending on the work required.

The City of Bell trims all trees planted within the public right-of-way once a year during the fall/winter seasons. To report hazardous conditions including pests, broken or fallen branches, root intrusion etc. to trees planted along parkways, please call (323) 588-6211, ext. 220. The Bell Municipal Code requires that each property owner maintain the trees planted in his or her yard.
Bus stop shelters in the City of Bell are cleaned and maintained daily. To report a bus shelter that is in need of cleaning, please call (323) 588-6211, ext. 402.
Bell urges its residents to do your part in keeping our neigborhoods beautiful. In addition to keeping your yard trimmed and free of trash and large debris, we also remind you to remove decorative strands of holiday lighting from the eaves, roofs, and bushes around your homes after the holiday.
Residents may have a yard sale up to four times a year. A city yard sale permit is required. Items sold at yard sales may only be used goods. There is no fee to obtain the permit. Yard sale permits may be obtained at Bell City Hall, 6330 Pine Ave.
