The City of Bell is sponsoring a light bulb exchange program. Bring in your incandescent light bulb to the Bell Community Center and we will exchange it for energy saving CFL light bulbs.

Here are some other simple steps you can take to making your home more energy efficient:
- Lower your furnace thermostat by 3 to 5 degrees to save 10-20% on heating costs.
- Routinely clean and/or replace furnace filters.
- Set your air conditioner thermostat to 78 degrees or higher when you are home and then 85 degrees when you are away.
- During warm weather, use fans and/or open windows during evening hours to let in cool air.
- Turn off lights when they aren't in use.
- Clean and vaccum refrigerator coils twice a year.
- Clean the lint filter in your dryer before each load.
- Lower the setting on your water heater thermostat and save 10-15% on water heating costs on average.
